Is there a difference between Blue Onyx Pearl and Black Sapphire Pearl?
Is there a difference between Blue Onyx Pearl and Black Sapphire Pearl. I have a Black Sapphire Pearl IS250 and I really can't tell a difference between the two when looking at pictures of the Blue Onyx Pearl (as rare as they are).
Under bright light, Black Sapphire Pearl is a very rich dark metallic blue. I think the only difference is Blue Onyx Pearl isn't metallic. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i just went to the build your IS section of the lexus website and it did not list blue onyx as a possible color for the IS. i have black sapphire as well and it is about as dark blue as a car can be. i couldn't find a picture of blue onyx, but seeing as how bsp is so dark i guess blue onyx would be lighter. possibly brighter blue?

I use "..." ....... a lot

BOP is only available for 06 models. The 07 models are BSP.
And no, the BOP is not considered metallic (hence pearl, not mica in the name). In direct sunlight, it actually reflects some blue-green (depending on the angle), but is also a very deep blue at other angles.
Here's a pic of mine. If you look at my sig pic, you can see it at another angle.
