Default MPH for a new Lexus IS 250

Hi, I have been hearing things about the mph I should drive on my new lexus. Some say I should keep it below 55mph if I drive at higher than 55, I may damage my engine. Other say I should drive higher speed to juice it up. What do you guys think?

Default It's not just about speed...

Break-in periods is a huge debate on this forum.

Do a Search and you'll find people that follow the rules and read the instructions in the manual: break-in (which means stay away from high revving and high speeds) for about 650 miles.

Others will say that you don't need to break-in the car, and you can drive your car as you wish as soon as you get it. If so, not only can you drive more than 55 mph, but you can also redline the RPM whenever you want.

It's your choice.

Personally, I followed the break-in rules as recommended by the manual...
