I picked up my IS350 two days ago and just noticed two very small indents where the front plate bracket screws would go. The indents are only noticeable if you look very closely. Its almost like they are just guides for where the dealer would put the bracket scews. Im very picky and had the dealer assure me that the car I was buying was not yet dealer prepped and did not have a front bracket affixed. It does'nt look like any paint work was done. I have not got a good look at another car without a bracket so I don't know if this is normal. Does anyone else without front plate have these indents.

yea, i have them too they are just guides as to where the dealer should drill for plate bracket.

A good paint repair would not be detectable if well done, so I don't think you can rule out a repaint. I've never noticed any guide hole indents in any of the IS's I've seen on dealer lots, but I've never really looked either. Maybe others can add more.

I saw them until I got a clear bra, for some reason it helped them disappear and now I can't even locate them....try that.

Every 2IS has that so it's normal. At first I didn't know so I spent a day thinking what/who I hit with the front bumper that it left 2 indentions.

Every new Lexus have that small indention on the front bumper. The new LS has 4 small indention.

I have the indentions, too. I made sure to let the dealer know NOT to drill into the bumper because I didn't want to have a front plate, so the first thing I did once I received the car was check for it. That's when I noticed the indentions.

Me too. Kinda stupid IMO for lexus to do this on such an expesive car, when you could just tape up a simple template for drilling locations. Just one picky dude's opinion.
