i had one question if your key pad on the 2006 IS battery is dead, how can u start the car? will the car send some kind of message on the gauge telling u low battery on the key pad like how it says key not detected if u walk away wit the key pad in ur pocket?

Hold the fob next to the start switch. When the LED turns green, start the car. You can take the battery out of the fob and try this if you like. It's documented in the owner's manual.
