Sounds like an expensive lesson. Gotta do research when purchasing a car. Dearlers love hooking clients who walk in to the dearlership all bright eyed. Not to rub it in but i purchased my White on Black IS350 on 8/21/06 from Cerritos Lexus MSRP was 43909 with Sports package Nav/ML and mats ect. I paid 500 over invoice for 39111. My OTD price i believe was 42,000 tax, doc, and so forth.

In California you sign a clause on the contract and that's it. There is no "cooling off" phase. I don't think it would help to even bother talking with the dealer, as it's a done deal.
Be thankful that folks on CL have been pretty nice and supportive. Really though, especially since it's obvious you have access to the internet, you should have spent the time to access tons of resources such as carsdirect, edmunds, kbb, and of course, forums such as these, before setting foot in the showroom. You don't do your homework, you pay in the end. Out the ***, literally.

FYI - if your MSRP is 43,909, true invoice is 38,168 (per KBB) so you paid apprx 1,000 over invoice, and your OTD is apprx 42,700. Still a great deal, but I wouldn't be telling folks you paid 500 over invoice, a more accurate statement is that you got 4,800 off MSRP . . .

A bunch of us here knowlingly paid MSRP back in Nov/Dec when the car first came out--that's the price for being 1st in line (at least it's not like people paying $5k over msrp when S2000 first came out). It's all supply and demand. Who says money can't buy happiness?!

Don't Feel so bad...
If you ever buy a Mini Cooper or S, most dealerships charge anywhere from 3-5K over MSRP... as their normal mark up procedure..
Love how they say its a the adjusted price for such a rare car..
