Extra shipping cost from one dealer to another
Hey guys,
I have a quick question, I am looking for a specific IS350 with very specific options.
The dealer that I have been in contact with do not have the car I want in their lot, but they were able to locate one from another dealer.
They told me that if I were to get that car they can arrange the car to be shipped to their dealership, but the shipping cost (approx. $1000) will be added as an extra cost for my car.
Is this a normal procedure, or I shouldn't be charged for this extra shipping fee?
thanks!

In any case, I have negotiated a pretty good deal on this dealership, and I don't think any other place can match this offer ($xxx over invoice for any 2006 OR 2007 IS350).

For an extra $1,000.... the car better be coming from Hawaii, because that is how much it costs to transport a vehicle from Hawaii to California...
Interstate transport of ANY vehicle on a flatbed or carrier should cost NO MORE than $400.
I should know. I get vehicles transported from Oregon to California all the time.
Local in town transport typically runs from $75 to $100. From Northern to Souther California and vice versa... around $350.
The dealer is making you bend over.
