Default Another MTEC HID (Pics)

I know I know, another HID pic. Well in case you are already tired of seeing it, just move on to the next thread.

I installed it myself. It was easier than I thought it would be, thanks to muzzman and Jewel. Like Jewel, if I had to do it over, I can do it in an hour.

MTEC 6000K HIDs and MTEC 4750K Cosmos Blue halogen fogs (no blue overlay). Like I said on my other thread, the HIDs over power the fogs so the fogs do not make much difference. But it looks better than stock. Overall, I'm satisfied with the MTECs.

I took the pics with my Canon PowerShot SD450 (5M). I forgot to set on night mode. Of course I had to resize it to fit.

Sorry, not really good at judging colors but it is definitely bluish. I'm going to check my installation this weekend to make sure everything is still where they're supposed to be. It's funny but I find myself driving in to work a little early so that my HIDs are on.

Jewel, I know you installed yours the same time as me. If you are right and we received the same bulbs, then you got the wrong ones. I know you turned yours with pliers and it locked. But after I e-mailed that EBay seller, he sent me H11 bulbs with thinner tabs. The first ones he sent looks cheaper. These went right in and I just turned them by hand. He didn't realize there are two types of H11 bulbs. I guess he now knows which ones are the ones for the 2IS. Also, I just confirmed the passenger side HID was aimed a bit higher than the driver with the first set I installed. Now they are even.

Looks amazing... The HID light color matches the silver color of your car.

The quality of the pics are crap because I had to resize them to fit in the upload. As for the ballast placement, I followed muzzman's DIY reccommendation. Just look for his thread. It's kinda hard to explain where I installed it. Looking at his pics will give you a good idea.
