Results of my 2IS at the drag stip last night
First off let me say all you vegas guys suck for making me go alone
It was still 105 degrees at 9pm. All night I was running consistant 14.3's and 14.4's. I was kinda dissapointed at first hoping to go faster than that but when I took a break to go up in the stands and watch others race I felt much much better. There were a few STI's, GTO's with the 6.0L, Mustang GT's (not stock), and 1 NSX runing high 14's (14.6-14.8) all night long consistantly. I was like WTF this heat must be doing something to these cars. THere were no really fast cars there last night except for the ocasional turbo civic hatche and the turbo SS Camaros. All the normal cars that should have been faster than my car were slower? Maybe others can join me next time and we can get some runs in together. I'll try and post some vids later of the races.

hey hope you had fun thats the main thing man
sorry that your runs weren't to your liking, but its true elevation and heat are factors.
Wish i lived in Vegas, i would have made some runs with you.

oh yeah, heat is a big factor, especially for turbo cars. the colder it is outside, the better the car will run, how come you think the STIs come with intercooler sprayers? to help with cooling them off, same thing when you spray nitrous onto an intercooler. the colder the intercooler and the colder the engine, the faster the car, woo woo

Altitude is a huge factor, and so is heat.
Heat and humidity also conspire to increase the density altitude, which is what your engine "feels" as its altitude.
Basically the highest the altitude, heat and/or humidity, the less air there is for the engine to burn fuel with, and the lower the power. At over 100 degrees at the altitude of Las Vegas, you may have lost as much as 100 of your engine's 306bhp!
