IS250/IS350 Dust Covers - Main Headlight Blub
I just met with a local Lexus collision center (for installation of the IS250 spoiler) and asked about the dust cover for the headlight assembly (main headlight). For those who drilled into their dust cover and wish to replace it, I believe I have found it.
The part is $10.00 ($20 for the pair) for both the cover and the rubber gasket. In looking at the headlight diagram (faxed), the part numbers are:
1. Cover - #81135C
2. Seal - #81145B
It may be listed under universal code #53240. I still need to see if in deed this is the part. With what I am seeing on the diagram, this is it.
I will be ordering a pair to keep on hand for the pair that I drilled through (and then sealed).

I received a print out diagram from David at Linsay Lexus Collision (703.647.4500). I am sure that your local Lexus parts department would have this. While he (David) is not exactly sure, the diagram shows what appears to be the correct part (81135C - cap itself / 81145B - rubber seal).
Since I experience condensation (drilling through my dust covers), I have since taped the hole up with electrical tape (inside and out) with several good layers. Be careful not to make the tape so long that it would go over the ends where the rubber seal is.
I took the aftermarket kit (Xenon King) and ran the wires under the dust cap. I ran the wires in such a way that they exit from the front of the dust cap (where the metal hold bar is located). Once the bar locks into place (with some effort), I then add a strip of electrical tape on both the top and the bottom of the dust cap. This is to prevent moisture from entering.
Today, I took my car into the local car wash and when it came out there was no condensation to be found (knock on wood).
Just in case, I intend on ordering a set when I have my OEM spoiler installed next Friday (3/17). I will update my findings then.
