insurance is hell but I'm just gunna bite the bullet for a few years, make sure I keep my record clean and hope it will go down in four or five years. Its gunna require a heck of a lot of discipline to not be constanting gunning it in this car, its a heck of a rush but I guess I'll save those shinanigans for the track, or atleast the suburban highway.

this thread turned into a bit of a young-is drivers role-call, cool.

Only go to driving school (like Fat Boy did) if you really do not know how to drive, but since you passed the driving test, you should be ok. You know the safety rules of driving, just apply them.

A performance driving school might be fun anyway though. And it will help you learn the limits of the car.

I hope you don't pull the stunts I did when I first got my license (and I did it all in a 100-hp Saturn lol)

Where can you go to learn performance driving and how much does it cost? I'm planning of taking lessons by playing the Need For Speed: Most Wanted.

BMW is supposed to have one of the best advanced-technique courses, look on their site for prices.
