What're you trying to get an update on exactly?

The thread is from 2005.

For 06 models the pedal dance turns off TRAC/VSC.

For 07+ models the dash button will.

There is a very simple way to shut off VDIM, VSC and Trac. Locate the 2 prong plug on the back side of your front wheel hub. there is one on the driver and passenger side. unplug this plug. the systems are no longer getting the info they need to operate so they shut down. Your gauges will light up like a Christmas tree but you can drive your car how ever you like.

Having just completed a second top down run of the "Tail of the Dragon" US 129 going from NC into TN, there certainly are real world situations where aggressive but "safe" driving is frustratingly hampered by VDIM. My sons '93 BMW 525i was more fun to drive the same route than my 2010 IS 350C, and that's sad.
