Default 2007 IS250 high milage concern

I'm leaning towards buying a used 2007 250 that has 173,000 miles. The car is in incredible shape. My main concern are the miles.
What, if any, are some things to be aware of before I actually buy it?
And any information about the car at all would be helpful!
Thank you!

How is the maintenance record? Any carbon build-up issues?

Just wondering, how much is the seller asking?

The maintenance record looks pretty good/consistent. I ran a carfax and received the dealer reports and I don't see anything about carbon build up.

He is asking $10,000. The car is in great shape minus a few small things and the navigation is starting to act up. So I would offer $9,000

For a 250 with almost 200k miles for 10k I would not buy it.

Thank you for your input. Any reasons specifically why you wouldn't?

For a 250 with that mileage I would pay 8k MAX. Maybe 9-10k for a 350 with similar mileage.

That many miles and being a 07, I'd say maybe 7-8k.

Thank you for the input. Are there any reoccurring issues with this car when it has that many miles?

I am the original owner of a 2007 IS 250 which now has just under 200,000 miles. It has been stored outside for it's entire life and been driven through Michigan winters on our very crappy roads. We regularly get 2-6 inches of snow or more, which the car handles with ease. Michigan has more potholes than the moon has craters, so the car takes a beating every day. The doors open and close like a refrigerator and there are no nasty rattles like you might expect from a high milage car. This is the best and most maintenance free car I have ever owned. The water pump needed replacement at around 100,000 miles. The exhaust 'Y' pipe has a couple of rust holes in it which developed recently. A replacement Y pipe is something like $1200, just the part. The battery was recently replaced due to age... It was still working fine. Check the condition of the brakes. They are quite easy to replace if you are handy. I agree with others regarding the price. ANY high milage car can develop expensive repair bills.

I am about to embark on a 1,000 mile trip over Labor Day weekend with no concern about reliability.

Here's how much I love this car... I have been considering buying a new one and giving this one to my teenage kids. Instead, I may buy something else for them and keep the IS. I have no doubt that it will last for many more years.
