i was looking at a grounding kit....
does anyone know anything about these or have one in their car?
and does anyone who has it have any preference on which one to get?

If you could see a wiring diagram of our vehicle, you'd already see plenty of grounds used throughout the electrical systems. Adding thicker wire to existing points or making new holes is pretty much pointless.
Now, there are vehicles I would suggest doing this one...but I somehow doubt you are competing in DB drags or have anything other than a stock motor/stock electrical system in your 2IS.

I run a pretty hefty audio system and have a 4ga ground run from the battery to the strut mount (in addition to the factory ground). I also have all three of my amps grounded to sanded and bolted frame positions in the rear. No such thing as too many grounds in my opinion. I have seen the ground kits online but you can honestly do the same thing yourself by going to your local car audio shop and asking them to cut, crimp and solder connections for you in the desired lengths for much less.
