03 is300 limp mode after about 10minutes with codes p2121 and p2127
So i need you guys really bad right now. My daily driver is a 03 is300 with 90k miles on her. Car is completely stock. The issue started of with when i was cruising at around 50mph and i would go to give it gas it would do nothing then after a bit it was fine. it did this off and on for about 2days until yesterday it got really ugly. The car now goes into limp mode where it hesitates really badly and for the most part wont move at all unless i floor the gas pedal. even then it takes a really long time to get up to speed. The check engine light is on with the trac control light blinking. The codes being thrown are p2121 and p2127. Any help in regards to this will be greatly appreciated...

Chances are you have blown fuses/relays look up how to pull the fuses... it's a pain in the *** I did it when I installed a battery backwards. That's likely what you're going to have to fix.

So im almost positive its not a fuse or relay because like i said, it will run fine for a solid ten minutes and sometimes longer than that. Theres been occasions wher it went a whole trip for 30 mins where it was fine. But for the other 95% of the time it goes into limp mode after warmed up. I have replaced the tps and the apps. That leaves the throttle motor left that i have not replaced. I guess my question now is should i buy the new throttle motor because it is most likely the problem or is there other things i should look at first before i spend the $300 on the throttle motor? Any help is greatly appreciated. Btw it is a 03 is300 with 90k miles on her. Bone stock...

I dug around on the internet and this could be the problem:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEXUS-OEM-GENUINE-NEW-THROTTLE-BODY-LEVER-SENSOR-22060-46070-FIT-IS300-GS430-/172321110522?hash=item281f2379fa:gyYAAOSwax5YsVT5&vxp=mtr
others reported this part going bad on their IS300s.
i'd check for obvious wiring problems first before buying the part. make sure its not rubbing up against anything, cut, shorted, etc. could just be a bad part.
if the problem happens after getting hot, driving, etc. then electronically, it means the circuit board or other contacts inside is expanding and contracting and contacts are being cut off. that could be why it only happens when its hot.
