Vredestein vs. Falken
Have been running Nitto 555's and need to replace my tires. Although I haven't had any complaints with my current tires, I am inclined to replace them with either Falken 452's or Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's. Have found them both online and they are reasonably priced. Curious if anyone here, has now or has had either tire and your thoughts about them. How did they wear... noise level.... performance???

Welcome, nice intro, car looks clean. as for tires I have kumo ectsta all seasons and i like them, but tires are a personal choice.
go to www.tirerack.com, or www.tires.com, and read the tire reviews and make your own choice.

vredstein make good tires. My friend has been sponsored by them for two years and they've been great for the last 2 years he's had them. Falkens suck in my opinion. They're noisy as hell on the highway. I love my Dunlops.

I had Falken FK452 tires before. They're decent tires and drove smooth. I'm dropped with no idea what camber spec, but the inner tread on the rears wore down over a year of use. Performance, I'd say is alright. I don't track my car but I've noticed understeer a few times when going a little too fast on some freeway onramps. For the price I paid and how long they lasted, I thought they were alright.

Thank you all for your comments.... this is the type of feedback I was hoping for and did not get on my.is....Have only been a member there since Nov. but haven't really had any responses there that were of any real use.... except for the guy who put a gif of Will Ferrell puking on SNL and told me to put my stock wheels back on.... guess he didn't like the way my car looked. Like I said above, I really haven't had any complaints with the Nitto's other than the inside tread is wearing down much faster than anything else.... Have close to 60K on these tire so in NO WAY can I complain at all.... I don't autox my car or take it to the track, about the only thing I can say against the Nitto's is the wobble since they began to wear down. I don't think I'm going to get the Vred's because I'm not sure it has a reinforced sidewall... Unfortunately with the wheels I have I have come to find out that the alloy used is a bit soft(6 Wheels in 18 mos, although I have run over sum horrific pot holes, usually at night, mostly wrong spot wrong time sux for me)...so Im really looking for the sidewall to be strong, if you know what Im sayin
@2002GGP thank you for the compliment
@Apex have read a few reviews of the Vred sidewalls blowing out and being softer in turns/cornering... thoughts?

I recommend getting Bridgestone RE760 sports. I run them on my car in the summer. They provide a lot of grip, low noise, and can last 20-30k miles. And they do well in the wet and dry. I actually got caught in light snow once with them before I put my winter rims and tires on, and I made it home with little issues. And they are actually pretty reasonably priced. Wow after reading that, I think Bridgestone owes me some marketing fees lol.

Here are a couple of the reasons why I am needing to have reinforced sidewalls... Took these pics of a couple of the potholes that beat up my wheels... like I said before...wrong place wrong time FML...... just trying to learn from it, so to speak

Its about advertising/marketing. Falken on the other hand makes good tires but they also advertise heavily.
