215/50-17's on stock 17" rims?
I have a 2001 is300 with stock 17"rims. Currently running the stock size 215/45-17's tires. I want to raise the car a tiny bit for road clearance and soften the ride because no one fixes potholes anymore. Will there be any clearance issues with the suspension or bodywork? 50 series tires are almost an inch taller than 45 series. And yes, I know the speedo will be off (around 2%). I did a fruitless search.
Thanks.
Thanks.

For future reference here's what I did. My tire shop recommended 225/50-17's. He said that was really the only taller option without having clearance issues. So I went with Fuzions in that size. Very happy. Slightly better ride but still handles great. Car is only .2 inches taller.
