Anyone purchase IS300 Sportcross recently?
Hi,
Thinking about getting a Sportcross for my GF. Does anyone recently get one (within this past month or two)? I would like to know the price for the following:
Graphite Gray Peral/Intensa Blue Peral
Black Leather Trim
Navigation System
Power Glass Sunroof
Heated Front Seats
VSC
LSD
I would think that invoice is $33373 and I heard that Longo had the sportcross @ $1800 BELOW invoice, so $31573 plus TTL (in California is around 11%) will be around $35000 OTD. What do you guys think?

The reason the sportcross is so cheap is because they are suppossed to stop making it soon. Sales are so bad that lexus is giving dealers $1,500 under invoice. I might be wrong, but that is what my sources at lexus tell me.

Lexus Mission Viejo is giving $3000 off invoice. Not only are the pravctically giving these cars away but the dealers there are having a competition to see who can sell the most. The winner gets a rolex. Now that is some motivation.

They are probably only giving away a 2k rolex. So it's not that much. Plus in comparison to the comissions the guy will make on all of the cars he has sold, it won't be a very high % of in take home.

That would be too bad if they discontinue the SC. I was waiting till they came out with a 5 speed for the SC and then was going to buy one to go along with my 2001 IS300. It is an auto and my wife could have that one and I'd have the new SC (I believe it is functionally a little more useful (my dog loves to ride and she isn't allowed in the sedan). Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

I think the chances that a 5spd in the SC will come out are about.... 1 in 1,000,000,000 If you look at the current sales for the SC there is almost no point in continuing their production for the US. Then if you go and try to capture more of the market with a stick shift, you Michael will be one of 10 people to buy it. The majority of people buying sport crosses are women. It's generally known that most women don't buy manual cars (my girlfriend is one of the few that does). On top of that the guys that are buying the car aren't looking for the extreme perfromance that other people want. They are satisified with the SC currently so Lexus sees no need for anything more.
Now Europe is another ballpark. Remember that the S6 Avant is from Europe. What is strange is that there is no S6 (none hatch back). Europeans don't use SUV's as much as Americans (which is one of the primary competitors to the SC because of it's cargo compasity), so they require more station wagon type vehicles.
I understand what you're thinking though. Personally I would love to have an S6 Avant in my garage. Maybe my wife (once I have one) will want one for her car (it's a shame that the S6 doesn't currently offer a stick shift though)... which of course means that I'll either have to have a supercharger for the IS or have something else than keep up.
