HELP! Install Rear Brake Pads 06 is250 (not FITTING)
Hi guys,
I tried replacing rear brake pads on my 2006 lexus is250 (awd) but for some reason after installing the new pads, the caliper is unable to be mounted for assembly i.e it does not fit over the rotor and after forcing it on there is a gap preventing the caliper guide pin/s to go through.
I bought the pads at Canadian Tire and initially thought it was incorrect part so I returned them and went to Lexus describing my problem, they sold me OEM pads and told it is not uncommon for them not to fit because of some defective caliper (?), they won't offer me any sort of warranty.
So I tried the new pads and I was not able to get both installed, instead I did the inner pad and left the worn outer one, not exactly the best solution. Does anyone have any wisdom on this? Any guidance would be appreciated beyond measure....Winter is coming!
Thank you!
