Do I need to change my Battery?
Greetings everyone. I have a 2006 Lexus RX400H (100k miles)
Recently, noticed that the fuel consumption got pretty bad. During bad weather (-4F) the average was 13.5MPG. Now, when it's a little bit warmer - 32F, I have average of 15MPG. I have also noticed, that it's very hard to accelerate without triggering the petrol engine.
I have sent my car to do a hybryd check and received the following results. I was offered to buy a new battery, because mine is in a very very bad shape. Do you agree with that? Specifically, the reason was because of the high resistance.
Thank you very much in advance!

My battery block voltages are about 1 Volt higher (mid-21 Volt range for all 15 blocks), but that may not mean much. Internal resistances are the same as mine. I think you would get trouble codes if any readings were out of spec. The last 4 numbers are all zero which is good.
The petrol engine will run almost 100% of the time in cold weather when using the heater. It will run until the coolant temp is at least 157°F, and then only turn off when coasting under 42 mph or stopped. It will always start up when accelerating, unless you feather the gas pedal and keep it under 25 mph (not realistic in traffic).
You might check your 12V battery under the hood, and have the ISC reset (look it up on this forum) to help improve mpg. More mpg tips:- Keep your tire pressure at 38-40 PSI.- Get low rolling resistance tires (LRR) if you don't have them. The OEM Michelin S8 tires are LRR (Green-X). These will add about 3 MPG to non-LRR tires.- Turn off the A/C if possible (summer AND winter, in AUTO mode the AC is on by default at any set temp). Go to the climate screen and disable AC, and you can still keep it in AUTO without running the A/C compressor.- Use the heat sparingly in winter. Having a high set temp will make the engine run longer, especially until the engine is warmed up (157° F and up). The heated seats can compensate for a lower cabin temp.- Keep it under 42 mph to allow longer gliding on battery only. Feather the gas to keep it around 40 mph. Works great when the speed limit is 35 or 40. I can sometimes get up to 1-2 miles on battery only.- A highway speed of 50-60 mph will get you MUCH better MPG than 60-80 mph. My experience in summer: 55 mph - 32 mpg, 75 mph - 26 mpg.- Don't accelerate hard, coast as much as possible, and brake lightly to use regenerative braking instead of the friction brakes.- Buy a ScanGauge computer so you can see the engine RPM and engine temp, so you can practice keeping it in battery only stealth mode at 0 rpm.- Make sure to perform the ISC reset any time the 12V battery is disconnected for service or gets low on charge. The effectiveness of this is debatable but it can't hurt.

Thanks for the reply and sorry for my delay!
1) What will happen once I start getting the error codes? Would I still be able to drive?
2) I am feathering accelerator really really smoothly.
3) 12V battery was changed a few months ago.
4) From the tips you have listed - I am doing all of that. Thanks!
5) My battery report (the one I have attached above) had the ISC attribute with value "YES". Does it mean it has already been done?
Thanks!
