2008 with 183k miles and looking at timing belt again. This time I am not going to do it. My mechanical patience is slipping away. Still have to do the lower control arms and front shocks. On that timing belt the rear cam is a bear to keep from jumping a tooth when replacing.

It was a pain....had to remove windshield cowl and everything went well until the rear cam jumped a tooth 6 times in a row. By then I was exhausted so wrapped it for the night and the next morning it fell right on on the first try. Go Figure.....Saved a lot of money however, the timing belt, idlers, and water pump for under $220 in parts. That also included the tensioner....

Just bought an '07 AWD with 179K miles. Inverter replaced at 145K under warranty according to the Lexus dealer records I have,
Radiator, Battery, Timing belt and water pump replaced at 170K. We paid $7.5K for it and the inside amazingly looks brand new. Just replaced the oil/filter and will swap out the transmission fluid in a week or so.
Everything works perfectly inside, but my wife entered a bunch of her phone numbers into the car but it didn't save them - I'll have to see what happened there but that's not a big deal. I love the little scoop they have below the oil filter housing so the oil doesn't leak all over the engine - a nice, precise dribble into the oil drain pan. .

It's my wife's car so I don't really pay attention to it but that's how I thought it worked.

Me too, just bought mine at 156k mi... new inverter, radiator, brakes, etc. - wish it had a new hybrid battery. How much does a reconditioned one cost? Also I'm hearing some rattles and squeaks, normal for a 10-y.o. car I guess.
