I appreciate her view of stick shifts-old style-, but vs an automatic that most of the time is hunting for the right gear and not responsive is surprising.. I find the eCVT is far more responsive and smoother than any automatic. The Toyota eCVT is nothing like a normal CVT, which has belts and pulleys. Thanks

I'm with you, hence my 450h. However, I respect my dear bride's preference. Happy wife, happy life!

Bought a 2010 RX450H back in 2016, most reliable car I've ever had. Haven't done a thing except oil and wiper blades. 112K on the car at this point and still a beautiful machine. Will need tires next year.

I love the smoothness and lack of "shifting," which in my view is a deficiency dating back to the earliest days of conventional engines. It's like the private aircraft I owned for many years--adding throttle increases power but no shifting necessary!

Totally agree. I would never buy another vehicle that did not have the ECVT from Toyota.

Yes hybrid is a superior technology with no compromise. The question is why would you go with a non hybrid RX?

Cheaper, less mechanically complex, different driving experience, don't want AWD are at least 4 reasons that someone might have.
