Revs Staying High
The past couple days I have noticed that if I accelerate hard when I am already moving (passing someone), when I let off the accelerator the revs don't come down right away. Instead the sound of the high revs goes away slowly. I did have my transmission fluid drained and filled about 3 months ago at 117,000 miles, just before I towed a trailer cross-country. Now I am at 128,000 miles. Anyone else had this problem? Any ideas what it might be?

Well I didn't think it was the throttle but I cleaned it anyway. That didn't do anything. I have a feeling it is something transmission related. It started doing it worse today so I dropped it off at Lexus for the weekend. :-(

Well...It has been at Lexus since Friday afternoon and it still isn't back. The techs have been able to recreate the problem and agree that something is definitely wrong, but the car isn't throwing any trouble codes. They are going to hook it up to a computer tomorrow and drive around at the same time to record the computer and hopefully they find out that way. In the meantime, I am driving around a 2015 RX and really REALLY wanting to buy one.

Hey Jake:
I'm interested to find out what the cause is as well. I've got a 2006 AWD 400h with almost 95k miles.
By the way, I found a DIY for cleaning the throttle body for the 330, but the 400h is configured differently. Any suggestions/tips for how you cleaned it?
Thanks!

Well, the verdict came back from the dealership and they said I needed a new inverter and new traction battery. Total cost = $12,000. Well that wasn't going to happen...so the RX went bye bye and I am now the owner of an 2012 Infiniti FX37.

Whoa, sorry to here that, Sometimes I wonder why Lexus dealerships cant fix the inverter, but heck that have difficulty with lots of things, all said, It is like if this happens replace the refrigerator instead of just the pump....

Sorry about the bad news. How heavy was the trailer you were towing? I have towed 1000 lbs cross country but my new boat is 3000 and I am worried now. And did you get the inverter recall done?
thanks for the info.
