Check engine light came on..
Still at work but it came on after I got to work. 79,600 ish. Gotta go home to get my reader.. I already check the gas cap. Anyone has their lights mysteriously come on ?

Nope. When ours came on, it was the gas cap. I may be wrong, but I seem to recall that it took a couple of minutes for the computer to realize I fixed it, and turned off the light.
When an injector went south on my Mom's RX, the dash lit up like a Christmas tree.Apparently, if there is something more serious wrong, the computer shuts down other systems (i.e. traction control), in case they might be impacted by the real problem. Good luck!

I had this happen on my 2010 450h several times. For whatever reason the gas cap would come loose and the light would come on. I would tighten the gas cap but it would take several days before the light would reset on its on. The dealer replaced the cap on at least two occasions. The last time they said that there was a tech bulletin out on this. I can't speak to that since I traded it on a 2013 a few months later.

So far, 1 coil pack replaced and 2 injectors. Engine still tapping and misfiring. They told me a lexus engineer is going to come out Thursday. Not sure how true that is or they're just swapping parts to see if it solves the problem.
Cars been in since last Friday. I have extended warranty. Ill see what else they fix

I hate to mention this but check for rodents. They do more damage than you can imagine. My friend had to put in a new engine as the rats had eaten through a temperature sensor wire and the engine overheated until it blew. On my Honda the check engine light kept coming on and it was an emissions vacuum connector on top of the fuel tank. They had eaten through it looking for windshield washing fluids for the rear window. That they had already drained.
Look for dropping in the engine compartment..

I've not heard of one car having that much go south. Must have started as one thing causing failures down the line. Anyway, glad it's all done. Enjoy tomorrow and Happy New Year .

I have a 2010 RX 450h which I bought new. Always garaged, regular maintenance. Just added Chevron Techtron injector cleaner to a tank of premium gas. Cold ambient temp. Drove about 200 miles (highway and local) and parked in garage last evening.
Took car out this a.m. and had check engine light on (steady).
I am going to try the gas cap. Any other thoughts/suggestions?
