2007 -2009 GS 450h High Miles?
Hey my friends,
I am on the market to purchase a used GS 450h Hybrid. I'm finding a lot out there with around 100,000k miles for just under $20,000. Lexus owners take great care of their cars so they are all in excellent condition. My question/s:
1) Does the GS 450h run up to 200,000+ miles like most Lexus out there? My last ES had 300,000+
2) When do the batteries usually need to be replaced or how do I figure out if the one I am buying is going to need new batteries any time soon?
Thanks in advance!!!
Much appreciated!
Bryan

I have a 2007 450H with 126,000 miles and love it. Lexus actually did an inspection for me and said that my car is in great shape other than the brakes, which I had them take care of.
If you decide to buy the 450H, make sure that any extended warranty you get (and you WILL want to get one just for the hybrid battery alone) specifically spells out that the warranty will cover the battery in case it dies, as it costs $7,000.
Other than that, you can't go wrong with this car. There have been a few times where I've been tempted to trade it in, but no vehicle I've driven compares to my car. If I do trade it in, it will be for a newer model 450H.

197,000kms here no issues.
im overdue for 180,000 major service and im servicing gearbox too.
my hybrid was replaced at 125,000km by prev owner (under warranty)
Never had an issue with it either, everything works.
people still ask me if its the new model. when i tell them its a 2007 model they look shocked :O
