Default Buy or Pass? 2007 Gs450h 115k miles

Hey guys, In need of some advice. I am looking to purchase a 2007 GS450h. I saw one for sale that has 115k miles and the asking price at the dealer is right at 18k. For some reason the price was increased from 17 to 18k and the main thing I am worried about is the hybrid battery. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to hybrids but I drove the car and everything seems to work fine from what I can tell and it drives excellent. What really caught my attention was when I looked up the service history for the car on the lexus site I can see on 6/26/13 the lexus dealership recommended hybrid battery replacement and the quoted price is $5900 according to the service record report. My question is how would you all approach this situation? Im sure the car is outside of the warranty period for the battery replacement since the car is at 115k miles on the odometer. Would you still entertain this or walk away? I need some advice! Thanks!

Well it is a pretty good battery at that mileage I think I would say it's a little high as well as the price. I think it should be lower, the good thing is the hybrid battery is usually covered 8 years or 100K thats the bad part but it's good knowledge to have when searching. I would def pass this or you can try to get it checked by the dealer. Also seeing that it was recommended that the battery be replaced that would make me pass even more. Hope that helps.
