Default 2014 vs 2015 body

Noob question,

I am planning to get the 2015 RX450h FWD in month or two and wondering if there is any difference or slight difference between the 2014 vs 2015.

Thanks

Welcome to CL, jay2. Somewhere among the threads is a list of the differences highlighted. Finding it is another story, LOL! Maybe someone else will. The one thing I remember was LED fog lights became standard. It's something you can add to a '14 for a few hundred bucks in parts. 2015 is the last MY for the 3rd gen so not much has changed since the refresh.

The official Toyota press release on the features gives you a good overview of all the features and highlights what's new for model year 2015. It can be found here.

As Anita noted, the optional LED foglamps is the most significant visible difference. I note two other very minor ones on the exterior - there's a new optional wheel finish and the integrated turn signal lamps on the side mirrors operate slightly differently.

So, there's very very little difference between the 2014 and 2015 RX 450h. We expect lots new in the 2016 model year as it's widely expected it will herald a new generation of the RX.

If you wait a couple of months until August or September, you should realize that there will be a new redesigned RX released as early as March/April 2015. That is six or seven months after you buy your new car. If it was me, I wouldn't want to put $50k+ into a car that was upgraded so soon after purchase. On the other hand, Lexus will probably not have the deals available on the new 2016's at launch that they have on 2014's and 2015's right now. I would expect that there will be some pretty amazing deals on the 2015's later in this year ... something to remember.

I just bought a 2015 RX 350. Leased it so by the time by lease ends I can trade it in for the 2016
Mine is stargazer black with saddle interior. I'm thinking of getting black 5 star rims. Thoughts?

Wow glad I asked. Thanks for the input! Will consider this.

Also keep in mind the NX launch will be around the same time. It's similar in size to the original RX. Lexus may want to add that long rumored third row to the 2016 RX. Not sure if that would be a deal breaker for you.
