Anyone installed a remote start on their GS450h
So I'm looking into getting a remote start installed on my 07 Gs450h and I haven't seen any posts from some one that has. My local Toyota dealership told me $800 for the Lexus factory option. The best buy in Longview said they didn't have any kits that will work on the car because the kit works with the starter or the kit needs high voltage and the hybrid model is low voltage-- something like that. Anyways I see YouTube videos with the option on a ct200h and the Rx450h as well as other Toyota hybrid products. So what's the deal with installing remote start on the hybrid Gs or any other 3rd gen GS model?
Any recommendations for remote start kits and places I can have it installed in either Dallas or Houston would be appreciated.

Pretty sure the electric motor in the transmission starts the engine so there is no starter motor on the GS450h which could be a problem. Would of thought that would be the same on the RX though so not really sure on that 1! Would be a neat option I'd like too have especially on those cold and/or rainy mornings/nights!!

I installed a VIPER system at the local Best Buy. It was installed over 2 years ago and it is great. It did require some special part, but it is overall a great system. Phone app is well worth it.

You can defiantly have one installed on your year. Also the best buy you went to was feeding you a bowl of corny turds. The only thing to expect is to be charged extra for the bypass module with install and a extra relay that is needed to activate the brake for the remote start sequence. Having tiny wires is a non issue and is worked around pretty easy.
Now for the 07-08, the ignition bypass options are good. (FL-CAN, DB ALL) ( these are needed to let the remote start system start the car with out the key present) 09-10 there is only one option, (PKALL) then the 11-12, there is not a option for the bypass unless you want to give up a key which I wouldn't recommend . 2013 does have the luxury of having a remote start installed that you can use your stock key fob to start the car with. . All of this is if you are trying to use best buy or anyone that is a viper/compustar dealer that is able to use FL-CAN or DB ALL bypass modules.
I would seriously try looking at another best buy or a custom shop to get the work done. When you go, make sure the people working on the car are at least mecp certified. At least they should know how to install a remote start for any situation.
