Default Rattle on engine start
Just had recall done and cambelt and water pump replaced on 06rx400h car done 134k and ran like a dream before all this work done. Now when the petrol engine starts from cold it takes a few seconds to settle to run normal and it seems to run on regular engine more than electric. Any ideas?

Talk to the place where you had the work done. Also, make sure they performed the ISC reset.

The rattle seems to have subsided but now getting the symptoms of a miss just as the engine starts up. Any ideas?? getting a bit concerned about it now!

Question have the same sound
On cold start up and idle rattle from front of car?
once you move it goes away? so I think, as I can't hear it when the car is in motion?

Common problem. Fresh oil change helps. Depending on age, you might want to change type/ viscosity of oil.
