2008 RX400h Crack type sound when brake pedal depressed
I recently bought a RX400h and I'd like to know if it's normal to feel and hear a crack type sound from the front when the brake pedal is depressed when backing up.
Although it doesn't occur all the time, it happens when the vehicle is on an incline (front end up) and typically the first time the brake pedal is depressed during the backing up. The sound is louder and feels stronger than the normal click when depressing the brake pedal.
Thanks everyone in advance.

Mine does that. I back out of the garage, hit the brake and the pads shift to the rear of the caliper. I then go forward, hit the brake and I get a 2nd click as the pads shift the front of the caliper. This is slightly worse than I would expect because the pads have over 100k miles on them. New pads/clips/shims would make this much quieter.
My rear pads were actually rattling on bumps. I used some brake quiet to "glue" them to the caliper and make things less rattly.
