MPG on RX400
I've been searching for a used 2006-2008 RX400 for trade-in on my Infiniti M45. I love the Infiniti with all the options (navigation, backup camera, etc.), but I miss having an SUV plus the major issue is only 21 mpg and I'm driving appx. 150 miles/day. What kind of mpg is everyone getting on the RX400?

I Just bought a Certified used 2008 400H with 41,000 miles and was not really sure what to expect. I've had it now almost 4 weeks and have used 1 tank a week, or about 300 ish miles per week with a mixture of city and highway. Highway driving here is 75 mph. So far every tank is averaging just over 24.5 to 25. I've been playing with the throttle and also playing in the city traffic trying to figure out what can do to improve the mileage. I can live with 24 or 25 as it beats the heck out of the Jeep Liberty I drove for the past 3 years. This vehicle is really nice and so comfortable, so if I only end up with what I've got, we are still happy.

First month of owning the RX, I averaged around 26, second and third around 28+ and this month I have close to 30 MPG on my 2008 RX. Basically, I know the routes so I know when to speed up or slow down and let the electric power the RX.
Good luck!

I been averaging 25.5 to 26.5 this tank is 27.3 so far and well into this tank also. Bear in mind this gas is 10% ethanol. When I was in areas to buy pure gas I was getting almost 30 MPG and I was running with a weight of 5,200 pounds a tad overweight with three people and luggage.

we've had our 2006 400h for two months with combo of city and highway. when yo don't use AC we get almost 30 while driving intentionially to get best mpg. took 500 mile trip last weekend, 100 heat, full AC on 73 degrees, drove 80+ most of the way and avg 23. while driving 65 we 27 and it steadily decreases the faster you go. but on average in the 10000 miles we've had it we've gotten 25+ mpg.
ps. when it's hot and sunny out make sure you use window screen otherwise dash heats up so much it turns into a heater and fights against the AC. keep the dash cool, the AC won't need to work as hard and your mpg goes up.
