I would have kept that on the hood. It looks like it just got into a fight and was bandaged up.
If anyone asked what was up with the band aid, just be like....... PFT, you should see the other car!

My new(old) Vehicle
My new vehicle ( actually hand me down from my wife) is a 2006 400H with all wheel electric drive, fully equipped and 72,000 miles. Dark metallic blue paint with light beige leather interior. Dealer maintained since new. Recently had $5,500 worth of bodywork done resulting from hail damage requiring a new top and hood skin with a number of other dents on the front fender and rear quarter panel. I don't know how they do it but the dealers body shop returned my car with a like new paint job and absolutely no discernable traces of the damage in the sheetmetal.
I always took the car in for service. With the exception of a recurring pulling to the Right for the 1st year, which was eventually corrected when the dealer installed a Lexus initiated fix, we have had no major probelems with the car. It also wore out the 1st set of tires in 12K miles which the dealer replaced. I think they now use a different tire as we seem to get about 32K miles to a set.
I use the car mostly for daily commute of around 50 miles round trip and I consistently achieve 28 MPG on mid grade gas.

Hi Guys,
Just got my first Lexus. A 2008. My son bought it in Clearwater Fl for me and drove it up to New Jersey. Color stated is Green even though it looks sort of blue to me. Bought it with 76000 miles and so far have put on 4k miles. Runs fine as I have made several trips to NYC. Strange that when I open the hood to look at the engine I hear a noise. Seems to be coming from the right side of the engine and appears to be electrical. I don't know if this is commonplace or a problem. Averaging about 24.5 miles to the gallon with premium gas so far. Hope to have this for another 100k miles. My other car is a 2000 Toyota Solara with about 150k. Have had no problem with it and also seems to be good for another 100k. A Lexus dealer told me that I was fortunate as that year Solara came with a Lexus engine but don't know if this is true or not.

2008 Black Interior Black Exterior with Wood Accents. Mark Levinson Sound System. Pretty happy with it. For those planning on buying a hybrid lexus, you'll love it. The engine is so quiet that no one hears me pulling up the drive way or parking.

Another new Lexus owner here... Bought an '06 RX400h AWD, ML w/ rear DVD, Nav, heated seats, tow package, rain-sensing wipers, sunroof, silver w/ gray leather interior. Bought in Aug. '13 with 117k and already put another 5k on it including a great vacation road trip to Denver from Dallas - getting avg mpg of 27+ when careful, 23-24 mpg when not being careful and rushing around. ;-)
Previous car '98 Nissan Pathfinder (put 280k miles on it)...

This is also helpful: http://www.lexus.com/recall/
and if you want to see what has been done to your lexus, it is recorded by Lexus. This is their site?: https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...-lexus/home.do
