HID & Led Foglight installed (Morimoto's)
Just wrapped up installing a set of Morimoto XB LED Fogs to better match the Morimoto XB35 5000k HIDs.
Summary:
For the HID's I was able to locate and connect the harness to a hidden 12V terminal located inside the fusebox.
With the HID's successfully installed, I decided I needed some to match the foglight color temperatures a bit better. To facilitate access to the foglights, the front-most splash guard was all that needed to be removed.
Morimoto XB LED Fogs vs OEM
Couldn't screw all 4 screws into the after-market foglights (only 3), but besides that I think they worked out well.
Next up, I'd like to replace the amp/speakers/subwoofer as I am quite disappointed with the sound quality.
Summary:
- Fogs: MORIMOTO XB LED FOGS (TYPE T)
- Ballast: Morimoto 3Five DSP
- Low-Beam Bulbs: H11: XB35 5000K

nicely done, its looks nice....I do agree the sounds is pathetic for Lexus - I am coming from Acura TSX 2005, and the first thing I notice the sound in HS250 was below average for sure....significant difference from TSX

Nice mod !!!!!!
Thanks for the ideas!
The color temperature match seems pretty good, in the pictures anyways, but how is the overall light output of the fogs compared to, say, a 5000k 80 watt halogen bulb? Or even a 55 watt?
I haven't found a LED fog bulb that does the trick yet for under around $100 per bulb.

I'd say the appear to be an improvement, but honestly I have not spent much time examining and making adjustments on its level. I may toss on one of the OEM fogs sometime and take some comparison shots, but I installed them in a bit of a hurry since the mosquitos were eating me alive. I opted away from any overwatt bulbs to avoid any heat or power deliver issues.
Here's a review someone did on a Camry, I may have to go back and re-examine whether or not I want to modify the mounts.
