Farewell HS250 and Club Lexus
It's been a fun 3 years with the HS250, but my lease was about to end I decided to move on to something else.
I did a lot of test driving and decided to go with a 2013 Acura ILX Hybrid w/ Tech package. So far I enjoy it and am happy. Prior to the HS I had a 2007 Acura TSX so I was familiar and comfortable with the Acura brand. The deal I got on the new car was just way too good to pass up so I jumped on it.
I was hoping to stay with Lexus, but I am not a fan of the CT (hatchback) and the ES hybrid was more than I wanted to spend. The runner up of contention was a 2013 VW Passat TDI and the lease on that car was ridiculously high given the sales price.

Good luck and be sure to visit Club Lexus from time to time. Maybe the hybrid version of the LF-CC will bring you back in the future...

I'm not looking for a debate, but have no problem entertaining what Mr. Know-It-All Brand Loyalist has to say. Every car forum has a few of them. The HS was a good car for me but it was also far from perfect.
Like I said, I was sad to leave Lexus, but the current lineup just didn't have anything that fit my current needs. Doesn't mean I won't be back in the future.
For the rest of you thanks for the well wishes.

I had to research it after I read this thread. I say .... not bad, I like it. I didn't even know it existed.
Maybe he says it wasn't a real hybrid because it uses Honda's hybrid system instead of Toyota's type of hybrid system. Then again, a guy here at work had a Honda Insight, and if he didn't get at least 60 mpg, there was something wrong. So that leaves a lot to be said about Honda's system as compared to Toyota's.

I just drove the ILX Hybrid Tech and it is a super nice vehicle, but man it has a TON of road noise! Also, it doesn't have the apparent extra attention to detail of the HS...it just feels like a brand new/recreated Integra.
