Brake actuator replaced
I recently replaced my Toyo tires with Michelin Primacy MXM4 tires and heard a noise from the driver front side brakes. I took it to the dealer and they called me to say they didn't hear noise. I told them to drive it fast and hit the brakes hard...they did and found the problem...it was the brake actuator. Our car only has 23,000 miles and I'm a little concerned that the brake actuator would go out in such a short period of time. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how many miles on your car and when did you first encounter problem?

I purchased the Primacy MXM4 tires from Discount Tires for around $180.00 each, excluding taxes and road hazard warranty. Also, I received a $70.00 and $30.00 rebate card from Discount tires ($30 for using their card and $70, which was a special at the time for buying 4 tires). I did purchase the road hazard, which ended being around another $20.00 each from what I remember. So around $800.00 plus taxes and disposable fees minus $100.00...which came out to total around $800.00 from what I remember. Note: You can go to Discount Tire's web site and price them out.

TonyHS,
I'm very happy with the MXM4's. Haven't had a problem with them since the install...and since the brake actuator was replaced. Note: The high screeching sound came from actuator, not the tires.
On another quick note: I'm very happy with the car. In fact, I like it more than my last Lexus RX350. It still runs great and gets around 30-32 MPG on average.
