The leather treatment in this car is nice. What happen with the interior wall of the doors did they forget them....

What are the pinkish colored lights on the steering column???
Also on the steering wheel on the right side I have noticed some type of lever like switch that is recessed what is that for???
I did not notice this when I drove the car.

Thanks for posting pictures of the HS from Japan. It looks decent in person.

I got a chance to test drive the HS in Newport Beach a few months ago and it was very nice. I'm sure Lexus will sell lots of these but I do agree with a few our CL members in that some of the proportions of this car is outta wack. Hoprfully the 2HS will looks tons better...

That is the "Driver Attention Monitor". Those LEDs are aimed at the driver's eyes, and the camera monitors the reflection coming back. If you eyes stop looking forward, the LED reflection disappears from the camera's sensor, and an alarm is triggered.
