2013 GX - actual purchase price vs. MSRP
Hi all,
New member, first post. I have never owned a Lexus, but am about 95% sure I want to go with the 2013 GX. Instead of going with a Premium, I believe it is more practical for me to get a base with a few of the "essential" options. My local dealer has one with a sticker of approximately $60,200. I am curious as to what I should expect to be able to negotiate down to. Is there any rule of thumb for these vehicles? Also, do you think I would be better off to wait until after Christmas or does that even matter? Any tidbits, FYI's, pointers, etc would be appreciated. Thanks!

Price the GX out on Edmunds and start negotiating from invoice. The invoice price on Edmunds is pretty reliable and the only fee they don't include is the advertising fee. I think $1,500 over invoice is reasonable on a 2013 considering the low volume nature of this truck and the fact that it just came out a few months ago. I was able to get $500 over invoice on my '12 that I special ordered last August but had to know someone at the dealership to get the deal. I also went to another local dealer and was able to get $1,500 over invoice without much negotiating.
