Buy this Used 2007 GX470?
There is a 2007 Lexus GX470 loaded with starfire pearl and ivory interior at my local Lexus dealer. 1-owner, 121k miles and looks clean. Should I consider it? I love the reliability of Lexus and Toyotas in general. Here is the link with more information on it.

I looked at it in person and noticed that it is a ex-smokers car and the ad at Lexus lies and claims it is non smoker. Still worth looking at? How can I talk anyone down $5k from asking price? haha

I think it's worth considering. The price seems to be "typical retail" for your area. It looks very clean, tires looks fairly new, interior looks in good shape (assume the dash is not cracked ?).
Suggest you have it checked out for the usual GX problem areas - shocks, air suspension, radiator, side mirrors, the "clunk", etc.. Make sure the big timing belt service has been done. If not, I would work that into the deal, including a full service before it left the dealership. Also have included a professional sanitation to remove the smoke odors.
Good luck.

They claimed they had all service brought up to date. Hopefully that includes the Timing belt. So ask for odor removal, drop the price down a couple grand, do a good check of the car.

It is possible to confirm what Lexus dealer service has been done over the life of the vehicle. Get the VIN for the vehicle then go to the Lexus drivers web site:
https://secure.drivers.lexus.com/lex...on/register.do
Register and then you will be able to see all the service that has been done at Lexus dealers only.
This would help you double check what they are telling you and also see whether there has been anything "unnatural" done to the vehicle.

The Lexus service records show that they have had everything from the wiper blades to the timing belt replaced. At 121k how much longer can I drive it? I usually run cars about 3-5 years and 10k miles a year. so when I sell it, it will be at about 150k-170k.

an '07 with only 121k = lots of life left in it. Since the service is up to date and it has been well cared for, I would think you would have 3-5 years of relatively trouble free driving.

I have a 2007 and love it. Just did tires (last January) new (to me) FJ Cruiser wheels, brakes/rotors, water pump and belts. In other words..just made the commitment to keep her another 3-5 years! Good luck with your search.
