Just joined to learn how to replace a sun visor and ran across this thread. A law firm in S. Florida has filed a class action about this. I had the problem with my RX330. Dealer was great and "donated" the labor but Lexus Corporate wouldn't do likewise on the dash. Not a big fan of class actions but I gave up trying on my own. Glad to hear of class action. My dealership was wonderful and did not charge labor. When I contacted Lexus on the dash cost they did not care one bit.
My facts 2003 , 55,000miles, garage keep always, every maintenance done on time. I have also owned 4 other GX's. They did not care and actually a little snippy about it.
I will be contacting law firm today.
