Default How to identify a Sport Package GX?

New to GX and looking to pickup a 05 and up. I have seen folks mention the sport package but I can't figure out how to tell if a particular GX has the optional sport package. Any clues?

I thought the clear tails might indicate that but I guess I was wrong

Thanks folks!

Sport Model will come with dark gray wood interior trim pieces and KDSS. It's a pretty rare find depending on your part of the woods. I couldn't find it here in Vegas but I did stumble on an 05 with 19K original miles. Can't complain about that! Best is to get the VIN and ask the dealer to see if it has the option. The giveaway is the dark gray wood interior.

Pretty interesting. Other than the dark grey wood and KDSS, are there any additional exterior or aesthetic features that one should look out for?

Thanks folks! I ended up picking up a 06 without sport package and one owner ofcourse.

QUESTION - Are the clear turn signals only on 09s? I thought they might be just on sport package but it appears thats not the case. Hate the amber turn signals in the tails.

08+ has clear turn signals. They are also interchangeable with older model GX's- Plug and play.

I just got a 2005 Sport. Black with gray dark wood and brushed dash. The KDSS suspension really works! This car has no body roll in turns and skirts flat around corners.
The harder you throw into a curve the more it flattens out. Pretty close to awesome in a vehicle like this.

Awesome, I'm jealous. All GX's should have KDSS for the money spent and IMO turn signals in the mirrors and Xenon lights. I still wouldnt trade my truck for anything else on the market(except GX460).

I have an 05' Sport Package GX470, look for smoked lenses, Dark Grey Bird's Eye Maple Wood on Steering wheel and doors, dvd player and silver trim around the nav. it's a pretty sweet package and I was lucky enough to snag one in 2005 from my dealer which only had 1 in stock. I still own the truck to this day and I love it. Unfortunately it is time to move on and get a new vehicle but I will miss my GX, it never let me down and always made it thru the toughest Chicago winters.

Default Have a KDSS 2006 with sport package

My 2006 has the same smoked tail lights and headlights, interior appointments as the 2005 that was described. I cannot imagine a GX without the KDSS. I love it but it is not a sports car. I imagine the KDSS car is like a young dinasour and the non KDSS like an old dinasour. What I realize is you can only do so much with so much weight up high, high sidewalls, marginal shocks and tires made for a broad set of application. This is accentuated with I drive my A6 with it tweaked suspension and high profile tires. The GX is a nicely sorted car for leisurely driving.

I agree these vehicles all have an intended use, by comparison the Audi, a great car BTW, has a use more suited for smooth flat ideal surfaces. That's its stomping ground. I was recently behind an A6 for about 10 miles on the paved curvy up and down a bump or a wash board here and there roads in the hills of WV. The A6s low tight suspension and LOW profile tires, not high btw, gave it a distinct disadvantage. The A6 could not get away from the young dinosaur.
