"RANGE" based on MPG
Despite my protest, my wife seems to always wait until the very last minute to fill up with gas. I have seen the "RANGE" on the information display show that we have only 10 miles before she will run out of gas.
I just wondered if anyone has taken it down to (or past) zero? Does any know if there is a buffer built into that number?
Thanks

I did on occasion taken it down to 0 and pushed the limit. Not by choice but in desperation. One time it was really tight and I ran about 3.5 miles after it went -- until I found an open station. It promptly took 21.9 gal on fill up so no there is too much safety cushion built in. Plus, remember gas in the tank also acts a coolant for the fuel pump so not a great idea to run it so low.
YMMV (pun intended)
