Once again I depend on this board I have a ?
I got into my truck yesterday and when I started it my screen came up stating it was time to change my oil. What I just had this done? So I went under my maintenance log and low and behold nothing was entered.
Although I had the 30 month maintenance done at the dealership which was everything that could be done just a week ago they changed nothing nor entered new. So I entered what I could and guess at what I did not know like when the brakes need to be replaced and when the trans oil needs to be changed again and yes when the wiper blades need to be replaced. My wiper blades were never changed although it was written on my paper work. Now I understand after asking on the site about the wiper blades, since I have Bosch on my front they could not replace the rubber but why not just tell me this instead of telling me that they were replaced? And what about my rear blade? Not replaced what is the excuse for this?
So this morning I get in and my service maintenance is blinking and then it will go out. What does this mean? It was just in the shop. Do I need to call tomorrow and take the truck back to the dealer or did they just not reset this? If the later then how do I reset?
I'm not a nut. I'm very professional when I speak to the dealerships. Maybe stern but never disrespectful. I explain that I am very particular with my truck which can been seen just looking at the truck so why if they know this why do they not make sure that when it's in there what needs to be completed is done?
I went out yesterday and picked up my Bosch wiper blades only found the 21" at Pep boys but when I went to pay they were getting rid of them so they were only 8 dollars instead of 18.99 a piece. I went back and bought the last four they had. I will try another Pepboys today to see if I can get the 22" in not I will just pick them up at Auto Zone.

You can reset maint. light by yourself. Make sure that your odometer is set to ODO. Make sure that your car is off (not even in acc.). Press and hold trip reset, while holding it, turn the key to running position (do not start the engine). The maint. light should blink a few times (five I think) and then it will go out. That's it.

I would be curious if they did anything to your vehicle, but take your money. Was this done at a Lexus dealer? There is no excuse for them to not re set your light. I would look at your oil and see if it looks new. A lot of the 15K 30K service is just a profit center for the dealership. I pick what I want done off the list.

You know Craig I'm beginning to think the same thing. I really thought that the treatment that I got at this dealership was great until the little things started to add up.
