2 Weeks with my GX
First, I wanted to thank CL members here for answering lots of questions as well as other members whose old posts also helped make my GX experience a great one thus far.
It's been exactly 2 weeks since I picked up my 2006 CPO GX and I am loving it !! It's a joy to drive. More comfortable and quieter than my 2GS. Been changing between Comfort and Sport settings and has decided on Sport for now. I did read every page of both manuals but as often the case, CL members can explain things better than the manual so searching and asking on this forum was more productive.
It's been a busy 2 weeks but reading this forum prepared me for everything:
My car had Dunlop tires on them so I had the dealer swap them out for Michelin Cross Terrains that were on another GX on the lot.
I had the CLUNK - was prepared with the TSIB but service advisor knew all about it and this morning changed the driveshaft. I know the ride will change in a month but I love the stiff ride it has right now.
Rack N Road will be installing my hitch on Thursday and I ended up getting the Thule 964 Revolver bike rack.
Installed the Vais SL2i-UP this past weekend and love the iPod integration. Might not be a true comparison but the Vais sounds better than the Grom Audio unit I had in the 2GS. Both are ML.
Had the Tire Pressure indicator light come on just 2 days after picking up the car. Put air in 1 tire and light wouldn't go away. Learned here about the reset switch and the 2 positions and that fixed it. Don't remember reading that in the manual.
Once again, thanks for all the info and advice. Now I can't wait for snow !

The GX is my favorite of SUV's and is a perfect size for my needs...You have already done the first major order of business--getting rid of the Dunlop tires--now just do yourself a favor and all of the other GX owners out there...get a set of nice custom wheels! The GX looks soo nice with aftermarket wheels! Enjoy!

Good luck with your GX ny888! You've done everything right so far. If your tire pressure light does come on again don't forget to check the spare! If that's not it, you may have a slow leak in one of the tires ;>).

Repair for Clunk issue
Will Lexus fix the clunk issue if you buy the car used from private party- 2006 service date 1/06 with 38,000 miles. Or was the clunk issue fixed as a warranty item under the CPO? Thanks, Al

You should still be under the factory warranty so they will repair it for free.

I am just curious, how did my GX detect the proper tire pressure on the spare tire?
