Did any body try Thule 850 Escape Soft Sided Cargo Carrier
Hello,
I am thinking of buying Thule 850 Escape Soft Sided Cargo Carrier. Did anybody try this kind of bag? If you did, does it fit directly to the cross bars? Also does it provide decent amount of storage.
Thank you.

I used a soft side, but it was not the Thule. Personally I didn't like it. It sat directly on the roof, had little rubber feet. That was one reason I didn't like it and it just did not feel sturdy enough to me. It was suppose to be water resistent but I would be concerned if I got caught in a thunderstorm. Not to mention it just did not look very good. I swaped that bad boy out before my next vacation for a Thule Evolution cargo box. Looks sweet and holds everything I need it to. Just my $.02.

my friend actually has the same model you are talking about, he absolutly hate it. get a hard case, it looks better and much easier to handle.
btw, he hates it because it needs to be full, if it is half empty, the bag flaps if not secured well and you hear a lot of noisy. also, the bugs in the summer make it really dirty to carry around into the hotel, etc. not a problem if you just put a duffle in a hard case.
