2008 GX470 Navigation don't work
The navigation don't route me to places when I put the address. Am I suppose to have the Navigation DVD? If so, does it come with my car?

Check your region settings, the navigation system splits continental USA to many regions. You might be in the wrong region and that's why the address you inputted may be incorrect.

I did put it in the right region. I had set my own house address and it is correct. I could even see it on the screen. However there's no button or option to press that will start routing me there.

Congrats - loioks great. After you enter the address does it pop up on the map? I think after it does you then have to press another on screen button to get it to actually route you there.

Welcome MX! Looking good!
You don't get a package with a Nav DVD - it should be already installed. If you can set an address and you get a map on the screen then the DVD is already in there. There IS a demonstration DVD you can play on your computer, but I don't know if they are still including it - a similar demo is probably still available on the Lexus website.
You should have also gotten a book and sets of instructions for setting and using the Nav system. The dealer should have also had one of their guys give you the tour of the car, including Nav system basics (some of these guys know more than others, but by now they should have some idea how it works). If they didn't and you are close by, call up and ask for it.
Putting in the address does not get it going - you have to tell it to route you. Putting locations into memory points just leaves them there so you can use them later.
It gets easier after you've used it a few times.

You will need to push the route button on the screen and then select the memory point.
Alternatively, push the speak button and after the beep, say "home" and see what happens.
