Tow Hitch - Bike Rack
My 2004 GX came with the tow hitch receiver/bracket. Is there a tow hitch kit for the light weight stuff such as a bike rack? I don't need to tow a trailer or anything heavy and I don't feel like spending $200-$300 for a regular tow kit just to put a bike rack in the back. Does anyone know if such thing exists?
Thanks.
Thanks.

You need a tow hitch
Drawtite and U haul make after market hitches now for the GX and they cost about 275 installed. I race road bikes and bought the hitch for my bike rack also.

Hi Guys,
This is my pick for bike rike from Thule:
http://www.thuleracks.com/thule/prod...id=8&sku=998XT
I was seriously comtemplating whether or not to get the Sportworks model
http://www.thuleracks.com/thule/feat...sportworks.asp
(260120 - Sportworks Transport T2 2 Bike - 2" hitch)
But the sportswork models doesn't allow you to "swing" away from vehicle so you'll have to take the bikes off before you can access the rear... BUT what's really REALLY nice about hte sportswork is you can just put the bikes right onto the mounts without any convoluted WRAPPING of handle bars or frame, no mess no muss or fuss...
Wound up going for the 998XT because of the Thule name and the quality of the rack!
Good Luck...

Hole in one...
Sorry I just noticed the LAST part of your disclaimer regarding price... Unfortunately if you want a bike rack for the back you will have to spend the $200 ~ $300 for the Tow... The only other option I can think of is the ROOF rack, no additional $200~$300 for the Tow hitch but you'll still have to buy roof rack bike rack and you'll have to try to pick up the bike OVER your head to MOUNT it onto rack... (risk scratching paint job on CAR and/or bike) and too much hassle to mount (IMHO) onto the roof...
Good luck...
