Hi Everyone! My wife and I recently purchased an 03 RX300! Woohoo! It's actually my wife's car, but I drive it on weekends when we run errands together. We're thinking of getting a bike rack and I think I prefer the type that goes on a trailer hitch so I/we don't have to lift the bikes up onto the roof. So, this means we'd need to add the trailer hitch as well. Does anyone have any recommendations? I've done a little homework and I see some pretty decent deals at www.etrailer.com. Has anyone compared the Hidden HItch model vs. the Draw-Tite model vs. the Lexus OEM hitch? Also, has anyone had good or bad experiences with particular bike racks? Thanks in advance!

To use hitch as a bike rack, look at the affordability. SKIP the electronics all together. If you must have the electronics (isolator block) , check out old posts as there is a possibility of geting a kit which does not work.

my dad has a bike rack, holds 4 bikes, fits right onto the hitch. it is a sarris bat rack, very nice.

I chose the hidden hitch 70777 over the factory unit. It was much cheaper and looks a little better. For a bike rack I got the Roc-N-Gate rack by Yakima. It looked to be the best out there, but it wasn't cheap. Cost about $400. Both companies have web sites if you want to check them out.
