Default Build your GX....Sport Model??

Is it me, or does the Lexus website lack the sports version during the Build your GX?

You will NOT be able to build it online for your reference, but your dealers can quote you on it and will tell you the delivery can be up to 6-8 weeks or if lucky they will see some incoming.

Check out www.carsdirect.com if they give the Sports Package Option to price out, so you can use it as reference / negotiation if you really want the Sports Package model.

Good luck!

I don't see it on Carsdirect.com either.

You can build it with the Sports Package at www.kbb.com (not sure if the link below will work - if it doesn't work just go to www.kbb.com - also the link below is based on my NJ Zip Code too).

Maybe it's your location and zip code. When I put in a zip code from Chicago area, the sport package is shown as one of the option packages (page 2), as "Sport Package And Other Options". The way it is set up on the build web site, you are forced to package up certian options. Try plugging in a 606** zip code (Chicago).

My dealer says he hasn't even gotten pricing on them yet...but he said this in the context of they haven't seen any yet so perhaps he meant without allocation, he doesn't have a specific list of pricing on them.

I looked at the sports model last weekend in Northern California that was available for delievery. The person that ordered did not want after see it. I can say, neither my spouse or I thought the looks did nothing for the car. They cut back on wood trim and what they have looks plastic. The wheels should have been chrome not dirty gray.

We will go with a non sport with the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System and most other options.

I'm not surprised by your reaction to the Sport option. It will be interesting to see what the allocations will look like for what you want.

I would have to agree with you.
As I posted earlier, the so-called Sport Package is a KDSS plus the dark cosmetic package.
I like the KDSS, and I think that Lexus should make KDSS a standard factory feature on every GX470.
It significantly improves the handling and cornering.
But the black wood interior looks monotone and less than appealing (nearly awful in my opinion),
and the smoky wheel seems dusty at best.
I would go with a KDSS but not the sport package.
But it may be hard to get one though....
You probably need to special order it; check with your Lexus dealers....
