Thats awesome, it looks like it was mad fun. That third picture looks wild going straight down almost. I always wanted to go off roading.

Here's a few more
These guys weren't supposed to be on the Jeep trail with us LOL
The down hill assist button made going down hills a piece of cake, kind of scary taking your foot off the brake though
Pics of the other folks in our group below:

ovrrdrive's truck with 36" Super Swampers made the mud look easy

Great pics Greg! I had a 2000 4Runner Sr5 Sport 4x4 and that thing was a BEAST off road, and it was completely stock. I haven't done much off roading and a bunch of friends got me to go with them in F150s, Silverados, Tahoes, and a few others. Funny enough, my stock 4Runner made it through everything we did with complete ease- mud, water, gravel, uphill, downhill, whatever.
I have also driven the GX through some extreme situations and even went on a hunting trip with one in Manitoba...once you let go of the fact that you might scratch the paint on your $60,000 Lexus...it's a monster offroad. Took everything we threw at it in stride.
Your trip looks really really fun. Keep us posted in the future!

awesome pictures, I miss going off roading with our rig
I am surprised you didn't get stuck in that mud, it looks to be pretty deep.

Nice pix! Great fun! The only off-roading I do is when I hit a NYC pothole! Keep up the off-roading!

Thanks, No I was pretty liucky and managed to avoid any damage. I lagged behind on one of the skinnier jungle trails so I could take my time and use my tree trimmer I brought along to chop down some of the encroaching stuff that would have scratched me. There was one jungle trail though that I decided to forego cuz it was way too skinny for my GX that the other guys went through. I came within about an inch of cramming my drivers door into that big rock when I got out to take the pic that's 4th from the top - luckily somebody yelled at me just in time or I'd have a giant divot in my door. I went through a car wash 3 times and still spent about an hour under my GX when I got home squirting off the mud stuck to the bottom

Awesome pics! Those 4runners all look raised - seems you were the only stock vehicle.
That looks like a LOT of fun. I'm not sure I would have gotten out of the truck while it was pointing up that hill

Dude!
Thats what I use my 96 Landcruiser for.
Good job. If you had MT tires and no running boards you would kick butt
