Anyone removed middle seats?

Third row yes, middle row here no. If you are looking for a quick and easy removal and reinstall after your trip I don't see this happening. This requires unbolting the seats and then reinstalling them after the trip. Sure it is doable, but is it that necessary? Perhaps a roof top cargo carrier?

tecman, not really interested in the roof carrier, gas millage is already poor....lol
just trying to make the most comfortable sleeping compartment.
we're gonna test out a hitch cargo carrier for equipment/supplies, and hopefully have the gx for nothing but sleeping....??

+1, it's going to be a lot more uncomfortable if you remove the seats unless you build out some sort of bedframe.

bd5400/Craigyyy, I'm looking for overall comfort, I do agree, there will have to be some sort of platform, but, it may be worth it....?
I don't like the incline that the middle seat has when it lays down, however, if it's not an "easy" fix, I'll just get a thicker foam mattress.
I may just leave it out during "hiking/camping" season....?
