Default GX470 and tall drivers

My Platinum LS400 played tag with a deer Christmas day! Need to get another set of wheels. It was/is a great car because of the leg room (I am 6'6"). Am considering a GX470 but not sure how leg room is.
Can any one tell me from personal experience how they are?

I tried a search earlier but was unable to filter it down adequately.

Thanks.

I'm 6' and I don't have any problems. I still have about 1-1.5 inches left on the seat travel. Seat height is nearly all the way down. Seat back is fairly upright (I don't like leaning back). Steering wheel rake is about 1.5" away from the gauge cluster. I still have about 2" headroom, but you would likely have to duck to clear the door opening (depending on where your height is)

Best answer is to find one for sale and go sit in it.

Im 6'3" and dont have the seat all the way back so you will likely be just fine. Plenty of head room as well. I will say the seating is not very wide. The extra width in the lx470 is nice but I am by no means uncomfortable in the GX. I love driving it.

Default Tall Driver and GX

Thank you for the response about tall drivers.

I do intend to find one in the area and try it on personally. Was just curious if there was a chance. I can not get into an RX so was curious if they were similar.

Much appreciated.

I'm 6'-7", and love mine. Little tighter than my previous LX470, and nowhere near as roomy as my VW Phaeton was, but I drive it daily and take trips up to 4-6 hours. The trips aren't ideal, but daily driving is fine. It's such a great truck, Im ok being a little tight.

Default Tall Driver and GX

Thank you all for your replies.

Presently not a lot of GX470 for sale in my area. Looking for low mile 2005 or 2006. Have found one but it is a bit of a drive. Will try it out and see for myself.

Again, thanks for the feedback

I bought mine sight unseen from Texas. Used cars there are in great condition due to the climate. You can typically get the service history from Lexus using the VIN. a one-owner vehicle, always serviced at Lexus at regular intervals should come with no surprises. I've bought both my GX and LX this way.
